BKM Holding has completed the delivery of four E350 suburban electric buses for the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, one of the country’s key energy infrastructure facilities operating around the clock. Reliable personnel transportation at such facilities is of strategic importance as it is directly linked to safety, stability and the uninterrupted operation of the energy system.
The modern electric vehicles will be used to transport employees within and near the facility, ensuring environmentally friendly, safe and comfortable mobility under continuous production conditions. The delivery of the E350 electric buses aligns with the national strategy for the development of environmentally friendly transport and the electrification of passenger transportation in the Republic of Belarus. The use of electric transport contributes to reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency of transport systems and enhancing the quality of the urban and industrial environment.
The E350 electric bus belongs to Class II (Category M3) suburban vehicles and is designed for operation on routes with increased requirements for reliability and autonomy. The vehicle is designed to carry at least 53 passengers, including 42 seated passengers and features a low-floor entrance area to facilitate boarding and alighting. Increased seating space and enhanced comfort seats are provided compared to Class I vehicles. The electric buses are equipped with a 220 kW traction electric motor and an energy storage system with a nominal voltage of 614.4 V, providing a minimum autonomous driving range of 100 km with the possibility of further extension. The maximum operating speed is at least 90 km/h, meeting the requirements of suburban operation.
Special attention has been paid to passenger safety and comfort. The E350 electric buses are equipped with video surveillance systems, climate control, automatic fire suppression systems as well as modern control and diagnostic systems.
The passenger compartment includes an information system with route displays, a voice announcement system and a multimedia complex. USB charging ports are provided near each passenger seat. The vehicle design complies with UN Regulations No. 66 and No. 58 regarding structural strength and passive safety.
The operation of E350 suburban electric buses at a facility with high operational standards confirms the reliability and technological capabilities of BKM Holding. The implementation of this project expands the application of electric passenger transport not only in urban environments but also in industrial and corporate transportation.
